This place is actually in Buenos Aires, but the almost entirely English-speaking clientele and American sports on four televisions might lead you to believe otherwise. A definite favorite among ex-pats, Remember El Alamo not only broadcasts all professional and collegiate athletics from the North continent, they offer delicacies such as chili-cheese nachos, buffalo wings, and possibly the only "big breakfast" (eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, and toast) in town. For the more refined palate, the mushroom risotto is delicious.

During happy hour, 12-oz. draft beers are $4AR and pints are $5Ar (Quilmes rubia and bock; $5AR and $7Ar regularly). A two-liter pitcher will set you back $20AR. The Porteno servers and bartenders speak excellent English, and a crowd of regulars keeps the place lively. A mecca for middle-aged sports fans and college exchange students alike, you might experience a bit of culture shock after a few hours here when you step outside and realize that you are, in fact, still in Argentina.
