In amongst the throng of bars in Palermo Hollywood is Nativo BA, a chilled bar with a great vibe for pre-party cocktails or just a quiet night out with friends. Upon walking in what immediately catches the eye is the right-hand seating area. It consists of several hugely comfortable paisley sofas and armchairs surrounding a low coffee table. A large piece of contemporary art towers over the scene from the red painted wall too, giving the section added elegance. The rest of the downstairs area is filled with dark wooden tables and chairs dimly lit by red chandeliers. All of this leads to the far wall where the bar is situated. The Nativos barmen are very proud of their cocktails, particularly the Brazilian Caipirinha. The prices for drinks are very reasonable considering that the bar is in the middle of the bar district of Palermo; $8AR for a spirit with a mixer, and $9AR for the celebrated Caipirinha. Mexican food is available all night, as well as a variety of burgers and other fast food. The music filling the air is based around chilled out reggae, rock and funk - sometimes venturing into dance music – which all adds to, rather than disrupts, the relaxed atmosphere of the bar.
