At first glance this delightful little café could easily pass you by, though you shouldn't let it. The décor is relatively nondescript with plain tables and chairs and it is a very small space. However, the exposed brick walls and bright red bar keep things interesting. The menu is short but everything offered is delicious and cheap.
The delightful staff makes a mean cup of coffee and tasty meals include tartas (savory quiche) with a variety of flavors or the usual run of sandwiches, hamburgers, and short order eggs, etc. at great prices with some vegetarian options. Various sweet treats or cositas dulces make it a tempting location for late afternoon tea. Plenty of regional wines are also on offer at great prices. You will leave feeling that a few pesos were well spent. The fact that the staff is so welcoming, the coffee is so tasty, and the WiFi is FREE makes this a perfect place to post up and email home, reminding everyone why Buenos Aires, particularly Monserrat, is worth a visit.
