Las Cuartetas offers up a portion of Buenos Aires in the form of giant, declicious pizzas. Photo by Gena Mavuli.

This is real pizza. If you want old fashioned Italian-style pizza from a place that has been around since 1932, this is the place to be. With choices such as afrodita, a pizza with mozzarella, olives, crumbled blue cheese and celery, or a pizza topped with tomato slices and slices of real Italian sausage, you can't go wrong here. Las Cuartetas also offers a selection of calzones, empanadas, and a whole page of dessert choices! Items such as the homemade flan with cream and dulce de leche or the ricotta pie are all hits with the locals. For drinks, you can choose from the 14 wines available or local beer but liquor choices are limited.

"A Portion of Buenos Aires," boasts the sign out front. Room behind room, Las Cuartetas is a deceptively large restaurant with plenty of seating. The ambiance is that of an old-time pizza joint: no frills, just good food and busy, cut-to-the-chase waiters. You can get a small pizza, which is hearty enough for two people for $13AR, or a large for $25AR.
