Though the familiar male and female icons that adorn the side of the building suggest otherwise, this is not a public toilet.  In fact these symbols and their slogan, ‘Are you together?’ are an intentional reference to the thus aptly named ‘Jumpback’.  This is yet another in the succession of wannabe bars and trendy restaurants that line the waterside of Puerto Madero. Like many of these, the restaurant is modelled on some kind of vague conceptual basis.  Jumpbacks effort is rather half-hearted however, and once inside all indication of thematic relevance seems to disappear completely.  (Repetition of the afore-mentioned symbols not to be confused with the actual toilets.)

The space is large and despite an enormous square bar covering the mid section it feels as though it will never quite have enough people to fill it.  Large white leather sofas and decking along the riverside provide a pleasant area at the front of the restaurant, while tables and booths elsewhere seat the bulk of its customers.

The menu offers a fairly standard selection of parilla options plus some more exotic fajita and wok dishes all around the $20-26AR mark.  Burgers and sandwiches will set you back $18AR and for vegetarians a handful of salad choices cost about the same. Monday to Friday happy hours, from 5-9pm, offer 50% off draft beers and cocktails, making them a much happier $5AR and $7AR respectively and for the duration all appetizers are just $7AR.  Reservations are taken but probably unnecessary, so for a space by the water for a mid-morning coffee of afternoon snack this is a decent option.
