In addition to being a great coffee shop chain and popular quick lunch spot, Havanna is arguably one of the most popular alfajor vendors in Argentina. These alfajores (light round cookies, filled with dulce de leche, fruit preserve, or nut cream) help define Buenos Aires while adding serious calorie guilt to your delicious vacation. Havanna cafés are a place for a light lunch, with tostadas (thin sandwiches on a choice of breads), paninis, salads, and a choice of 17 tempting deserts. Havanna is also one of the few cafés with WiFi in Buenos Aires for those doing business with their coffee break.

Alfajor boxes line the walls while friendly staff in safari-style uniforms make this a unique café to pass a few hours. There are 52 Havanna stores and cafés spread around the city, and 60 stores spread throughout Argentina. Havanna Café is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices vary between $4-$7AR for a sandwich, and $2-$5AR for coffee drinks. A half-dozen alfajores is $9.25AR and makes a great gift to take home.
