Hopefully the all-beef-all-the-time Argentine diet will never get you down, but in case it does you should take yourself to Granix for a breath of fresh air and a head of fresh lettuce. Granix is a quick business lunch paradise and doesn't offer much in the way of ambiance but the restaurant has plenty of seating to accommodate the financial district's masses. The restaurant itself is pleasant if non-descript and also provides a comfortable environment for solo diners. The cafeteria-style buffet is brimming with vegetarian delights with plenty of choice from raw vegetables to make your perfect salad to delicious and creative hot dishes like mushroom quiches, pastas, and a smattering of ethnic delicacies.

The menu changes daily to keep the regulars on their toes. About $15-$18AR ($5-$6USD) will buy you as many vegetables as you can cram in but you might have trouble keeping up with the conversation as the chatter can reach deafening heights. If you prefer to chow down in a more peaceful environment, Granix offers the same extensive buffet for takeout, which is charged by weight (a typical lunch would cost about $6-$9AR ($2-$3USD). So grab a heaping helping and head to nearby Plaza de Mayo to people watch and picnic in the grass in front of the Casa Rosada at a fraction of the price.
