Excellent and classic Buenos Aires parrilla or steakhouse just down from Plaza Dorego, Des Nivel is a must-visit for any meat lover. Popular with foreigners (now more than ever) and locals alike, queue up next to the open-air grill just inside the doorway and watch the grill man cook up bife de lomo (tenderloin steak) chuchulines (intestines), morcilla (blood sausage) or provoleta (grilled provolone cheese). Meat and wine are cheap and superb and the friendly waiters are even more memorable, making you feel right at home. Grab an ensalada mixta and a San Telmo Malbec to accompany your meal and you'll never forget your restaurants experience here.

Be sure to make a reservation especially if you have an aversion to waiting in the cue or you have a party of more than say four persons, especially if you're a gringo.
