Cabernet is the perfect place in Palermo to enjoy specialty Tuscan dishes accompanied by a perfect Argentine wine. Photo by Gena Mavuli.
Cabernet is an intimate, tapestry-draped place to wine and dine. Chefs Joaquín Alberdi and Luis Coluccio present a menu reminiscent of Tuscany. Specialties such as risotto with osobuco, beef tenderloin in a cabernet dressing served with fresh potatoes, Tuscan prawns, and house-made spinach canellini are highlights. Deserts include warm apple crisp and fresh crème brulee among other options.
The red-wine colored interior nearly begs that you order a glass from the Argentina-based wine list that includes Luigi Bosca, Martins Robles, and Saint Felicien "Edición Unica 1991" Colección Clorindo Testa among others.
Antique, old style furnishings create an ambiance of class. One feels that they've stepped back in time to Buenos Aires of old. This is a great Palermo spot to reminisce, savor rich wines and eat meals to match. Reservations are recommended after 10pm. Major Credit Cards are accepted.
