Argentine and German classic live in harmony at this family run parilla in Las Caņitas. Photo by Gena Mavuli.

For 80 years, Bodensee has been serving up fresh parilla and German classics. Wienerschnitzel with homemade sauerkraut, parilla complete with mini-grills brought directly to the table, and perfectly cooked spatzle with a choice of sauces are all delicacies here. Deserts include homemade apple strudel, flan, and local ice creams. Aside from the extensive wine and local liquor list, Bodense knows beer - it once boasted selling 3200 liters of beer daily!

Often the owner Ruben Forcher comes to every table ensuring that the food is fresh and that all customers leave happy. Don't mind the children playing on the enormous slide at the back of the restaurant; those are his grandchildren, potential future workers at Bodense, where all the staff is family. Entree prices run between $10-$25 pesos.
