Straight out of a movie - several actually including The Motorcycle Diaries and the up and coming life story of Diego Maradona, this great old-school café bar right on the corner of Parque Lezama never closes and never disappoints. Old men sipping on their espresso coffees playing Truco (a national pastime card game where lying is everything) or speed chess, the lazy grey cat sleeping on the partition or the classic white haired and white clad waiters straight out of the 1940's. Enjoy a beer, submarine hot chocolate or a variety of pub-type eats. But its the atmosphere not the food that really make this San Telmo institution. —RIP - Bar Britanico - RIP review by Greg Roden
