Since March 28, 1932 this well-established family run pizzeria deep in the heart of La Boca serves up a wide range of culinary delights. Its claim to fame is that the historic 'Fuzazza con queso', was created by Don Agustin and his son Juan at their original location on Olavarria Street. Now this classic establishment, with seating for more than 500 patrons, is packed on Saturdays, mostly with Portenos outside of La Boca, even from as far away as La Plata.
Daily specials like Oven roasted 1/4 chicken with potatoes ($9 - Mondays) or Raviolis a la Napolitana ($10 - Wednesdays) along with parrila, fish and sea food, home made pastas and of course traditional pizzas, make this a good stop on the way back from Caminito. With the phone ringing off the hook (even on a Monday night), old time photos all over the walls and waiters with white shirts, black vests, red aprons and green clothes neatly folded over their arms, this is a another hidden gem in not-so-dangerous La Boca. Credit cards accepted.
