In an old house amongst the quiet tree lined streets of Recoleta, Sette Bacco is serving up some of the neighborhood's finest Italian cuisine. Within its exquisite setting of brick walls and swooping archways, the restaurants area glows with a warmth and simple elegance. Beautiful paintings in purple, green, and grey earth tones line the walls and jazz music dictates the mood in this classy establishment. Local, stylish, yet reserved couples and foursomes fill the linen draped tables by night and by day men in suits talk business over the very reasonable and delicious menu of the day for $27AR. Service is impeccable, both friendly and helpful, but keep in mind that Sette Bacco is a porteño restaurant — a local or a dictionary may be necessary for a fully enjoyable experience. The menu includes a selection of classic Italian starters, pastas, and risottos ranging from $15AR-$32AR as well as a selection of more innovative main dishes paired with genuine Italian ingredients and presented with sophistication and artistic flare. A selection of mostly local wines are available as well as a wide variety of desserts that creatively mesh classic Italian and Argentine flavors ($10AR-$14AR). —Sette Bacco review by Ellie Bowman
