When you walk down this side of Thames around 10pm, you’ll wonder what crowd of people is lined up for. Located on a quite neighborhood street, virtually tourist and restaurant free, Sarki´s seems to be the only action around. This large middle eastern restaurant is packed every night, no joke. In a neighborhood with a large Armenian population, Sarki´s seems to be the favorite. It’s a step above the many other Armenian joints around, with prices to match. With fine linen, attentive yet busy waiters, and quiet traditional music, Sarki´s offers authenticity and class. Get all the favorites from home made hummus ($8), tabule ($7), falafel ($10), knishes ($8), and shish kebab ($12) all accompanied by endless baskets of warm homemade pitas. The homemade baklava ($6) is crispy on the outside an oozes honey, making one wonder why they bother eating other deserts. This is definitely a place to make reservations if you plan to come after 9pm. They are open for lunch and dinner, with dinner dramatically more popular, and noisier. Regardless, this is a local favorite, and when it comes to restaurants one can always trust the locals. —Sarki's review by Gena Mavuli
