Seated in a prime Puerto Madero location near the Puente de Mujer, this up-scale Italian restaurant is full of Argentine’s out for a Sunday lunch and tourists looking to enjoy a five star meal with the benefit of a high peso-euro/dollar exchange rate. Cloth napkins, fine flatware, and snooty waiters in starched uniforms and long aprons complete this special restaurants experience. One thing is certain - the food here is rich and decadent. Appetizers like Ensalada Caprese ($15AR) or Antipasti Mixto ($20AR) stand up to any in town. The main course menu is almost too big to imagine; choices from fresh pasta in homemade sauces ($15-30AR), traditional chicken dishes incuding Chicken Marsala ($20AR-$30AR), and a variety of meats including Argentine parilla style steaks ($35AR). The menu of seafood is worth considering with rareties such as fresh Yellow-fin Tuna steak in a pesto sauce ($30AR); in a city on the water there is surprising little choice of seafood around the city. The outdoor patio seems to always be full, even on cool afternoons. However, the inside is large and bright, with several dinning areas and tall windows lining three sides of the restaurant. There are tables big enough to accommodate large groups but it's worth calling ahead for reservations if you don’t want to wait. —Restaurantino & Cafetino review by Gena Mavuli
