This restaurant is one of several that sit on top of the popular Buenos Aires Design. Advertising as a classy Italian restaurant, one will find a large menu with salads including the hard-to find Ceasar with salmon ($25), a variety of fresh pasta ($14), meats ($25), and seafood ($30).  Note that is one of the few places in town one will find true brick-oven thin crust pizza ($20) with toppings including shrimp and basil or gorgonzola cheese with walnuts and mozzarella along with simpler toppings.  Deserts are classic with Tiramisu ($8), crepe with dulce de leche ($12), and other such decadent indulgences.

Nice weather mandates that one sits outside on the low couches or surprisingly comfortable wrought-iron chairs; one feels as if they were sitting on the patio of a castle, complete with high walls and statues looking over your meal.  Some tables have decent views of Plaza Francia below.

Inside, Primafila enjoys decadent space, as it has four different seating areas, all of which are the size of entire restaurants in other parts of town: one with booths, one along the full-length patio windows, large tables for groups of six or more, and a back cozy area with a fireplace (and a TV during the World Cup).  The earth-toned bronze and beige theme gives this restaurant and sunny feeling at lunchtime, and a sultry mood after dark.

Walking to the bathrooms in the back, one will hear several languages- a fun experience overall.   Waiters speak enough English, and occasionally have an additional language other than Spanish.  This is a new, unstated requirement for wait staff in Recoletta, evidence of the cities embrace of its booming tourist industry; English along with the decadent ability to use a credit card- slowly but surely the city is becoming Visa-friendly.  Bienvenidos.
