A real gem of a restaurant in the up and coming Abasto area. Excellent food at low prices with smart and classy surroundings; basically a great find. Initially the elegance of the restaurant suggests to the would-be diner that the prices will be at the upper end of the market, however this is not so. For around $20AR a top quality meal with accompanying wine can be bought. The style of the restaurant is most definitely modern. It is brightly lit inside but rather than being annoying it merely highlights how spotless and smart everything is. The light also makes the yellow walls glow and adds energy to the art on the walls - all of which is by local talent and on loan from a gallery in the area. Along the huge tinted windows at the front hang red blinds with hundreds of bottles of wine lined up in front of them. The curious red and black light fixtures hanging from the ceiling match the colour scheme of the tables and chairs – black with red stripes. All of the bold colours and synthetic light may lack a certain intimacy but it all looks very stylish, with lounge music filling the air as a finishing touch. The menu is a mix of pizza, pastas and hot sandwiches. Sound boring? Well its not! In essence they've taken standard porteño food and made it interesting with a variety of innovative flavors. The array of pasta sauces on offer are particularly tempting and the free fingerfood is top notch. The dubious tradition of Gnocchi Day - the 29th of every month - is celebrated with a great value for money meal deal too. As well as the food, the selection of alcohol is impressive with both national and imported liqueurs stocked behind the bar. Wine is also served from particularly tasteful glass bell-jars. All in all a very well thought-out restaurant. —Gallo 702 review by Paul Smithson
