Forming part of a creative space involving theatre, dance and art is the stylish bohemian restaurant El Camarin de las Musas. Tasteful lighting and smart decór give the restaurant a cool artistic feel. It's perfect for those working on their own theatrical masterpiece or just needing a comfortable place to relax. It being open in the morning means it is also ideal to visit for a morning coffee if one lives or works in the surrounding area.

The neon blue sign in the window signals the entrance to the restaurant. Once inside huge stone tables and black tables and chairs fill the no-smoking area at the front, with a small well-stocked bar on the left-hand side. Following the black and white chequered floor past the bar is the smoking section. It is slightly larger and in place of the stone tables there are comfortable red sofas around coffee tables. Each of the pure white walls displays art available for sale - a collection of strange and colourful paintings of various styles.

The food menu is standard porteño fare - fresh pastas and meats prepared in a number of styles with delicious sauces. More impressive is the selection of teas. A huge variety of red, green and black teas are offered which is something of a rare site in Buenos Aires. The bar is well stocked with both national and imported spirits, with cocktails costing no more than $12AR. Be sure to visit the free art gallery within the building, as well as checking out the theatre and dance shows on offer. As well the shows put on in the adjoining venue, there is the opportunity to get involved. Go on, Let that inner thespian out!
