This intimate San Telmo eatery is easy to miss, but its a good place for a low key cheap meal. It has ten or so tables scattered around a small black and white checkered floor. The specials are written up on a chalkboard by the bar, and in one corner there’s a small TV where the older clientele watch the news and soccer. The décor is charmingly haphazard; it looks as though the owners went to a second hand store one afternoon and bought the first half dozen pictures they came across. Among the decorations are two large murals of Iguazu Falls and a Disney Land promo poster of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The menu is a diverse selection of Argentine specialties, none of which is likely to cost more than $12AR. The average cost of a meal is around $6AR; liters of Quilmes are $5AR pesos and a bottle of wine is $8AR. —Albor review by Sam Slaughter
