Bahrein heats up the night air in Microcentro all by itself. This is a 3 story, heaving, throbbing den of sinful and sizzling activity. It is an oversized, overly cheesy caricature of itself and an absolute must-see for those who love to boogie. The first floor is home to Bahrein’s restaurant, Crizia, which boasts about its Sushi and its renowned chef Gabriel Oggero, and allows people that like to overpay for dinner to dine on white linen table cloths. Crizia is open for lunch and dinner daily.

The real reason to visit, however, lies downstairs on the ground floor and further down in the basement – as if almost descending to hell itself. These two floors house Bahrein’s nightclub rooms. The ground floor (or “funky room”) holds the main dance floor and the stage when there is live music.

Downstairs in the dark and strobe-lit basement is the large dance floor and its heaving, sweaty bodies. Behind the cord you will find Bahrein’s prized and lawless V.I.P. section. The neon lit bar is in the back. The high prices reach from the restaurant all the way downstairs to the bar where a bottle of beer goes for $8-$16AR and prices just creep up from there. Cocktails, wine, beers, and other mind-altering substances are on offer while champagne greets visitors to the V.I.P. section.

Bahrein is a stop for many up and coming DJ’s and you can check fliers outside or their online schedule for upcoming shows. Music ranges from house to electronica – anything that keeps the youngsters on their feet and bodies grinding. Entrance is $15AR and includes one drink.
