Kronopios is a party venue of the cheesy sort, located in Colegiales. It hosts events every Friday and Saturday night with such delights as eighties music, fancy dress, party games and lots and lots of baloons. The young crowd seem to absolutely love it as the MC gives it the holiday rep routine on the mike. This is a lot like Aya Napa or Cancún at spring break. The venue itself is small, down and dirty. The paint is peeling, and the booths along one wall are upholsetered in sleezy purple velour. With all the baloons it looks like a school disco in a derelict squat. There’s no need to worry abou the furniture, which is just as well seeing as this is very much a place to PAR-TAY! Entry is by invitation only and costs $10AR. Guests are adviced to call in advance to make reservations. Larger groups can book sections of the bar at a discount price. Dinner is served around ten, then the party gets under way with games and dancing at about eleven thirty. As much Pizza as you can eat and a beer is $20AR, pizza and as much beer as you can drink (during the meal) is $30. A similar arrangement with chicken fajitas is $35AR and $45AR, respectively. Desert’s included. The cocktail menu features concoctions of sweet liqueure in frozen and fruity varietes, at $9AR each. Naturally, vodka jellies are also available. Kronopios´s 300 capacity is filled every weekend with youngsters looking for some crazy, cheesy fun. —Kronopios Arte Bar review by Johan Jensen
