Barduck lives up to it’s billing as a “Resto Bar – Centro Turistico.” Advertising “Live Rock Nights, Dance Bar Nights, Free Deliverys, Attractions (Bus and Flying Tickets), Internet, and Chillout Room With TV-DVD,” this place truly tries to do it all. Catering mainly to Israeli and American visitors (the tri-lingual Spanish/Hebrew/English menu attests to this), Barduck offers an array of thoroughly non-Porteno dishes (save empanadas and pastas) from eggs n’ bacon breakfasts, to falafel sandwiches, to stuffed mushrooms. Their happy hour goes from 10pm – 1am, but it’s one of those annoying 2 for 1 deals; i.e. customers either have to double-fist it or trade rounds with someone else to take advantage. The space is comfortable, with an approximately 20-foot high ceiling (minus the upstairs loft) and peach walls decorated with eye-catching original artwork, and a 100-inch projection screen that is especially great for futbol matches. Barduck does attract some local customers, but it’s definitely more of an extranjero (foreigners) establishment. Come here to meet other travelers, eat food that’s almost impossible to find elsewhere, and enjoy the party nights. Extensive liquor menu as well. —Barduck review by David Muller
