This gorgeous 3-star gem is probably the most costly in that price range in the Congreso district but they have their reasons. The façade is a beautiful, century-old building on the proud corner across from the Palacio del Congresso and some rooms offer stunning views of the plaza, though the views are dampened of late by constant construction. Inside, however, the hotel has experienced a beautiful modern makeover making it simple yet stylish and surprisingly affordable. The staff are of the utmost professionalism and there are many amenities to enjoy. Rooms include television, air conditioning, music, mini-bar, heating, and more. Décor is minimalist giving the place a decidedly modern feel in the rooms and lobby area but there is a classic tradition maintained through their impeccable customer service. The front desk staff can also assist you with weekend plans and excursions. One drawback for the business traveler is the noticeable lack of WiFi service though they do have computing services available. Still, their wonderfully redesigned commodities along with the proximity to Buenos Aires' best attractions will likely keep you otherwise occupied. —Hotel de los Dos Congresos review by Clare Nisbet
