Opened in September of 2006, the Tryp Buenos Aires is the latest addition to the portfolio of leading Spanish hotel group, Sol Meliá. The Tryp specifically caters to business travelers and is conveniently located in the center of the city. It’s shiny metal exterior streaks skyward and guests enter and are greeted by properly suited doormen in buttoned-up black uniforms and tight white gloves. Large black and white photographs of different Buenos Aires’ landmarks are carefully placed throughout the small but stylish lobby. Continuing on towards the reception desk, done in dark wood with more black and white photos behind, guests are then led to the polished brushed metal aluminum elevators and to the rooms above.

Each room has an entryway of dark parquet wood floor leading to the carpeted bedroom and marble and tile bathrooms respectively. Each stylish bathroom has its own individual climate control for the tiled floor so guests don’t have to step in to a cold bathroom in the morning. Remote controlled heat and air conditioning comes standard for all rooms along with mini-bar and individual safes that will fit a large laptop and other valuables.

Standard rooms come with either twin or Queen-sized beds and all feature double-paned windows to ensure that guests can truly shut out the outside world for a comfortable nights rest. 27” flat LCD television’s in each room with built in DVD players and modern, upscale desks that feature high speed internet and connection for computer output to the LCD display help make this an obvious choice for the business traveler. There are also two suites available on the top floor which are larger and are a good value for the slightly increased price.

Tryp Buenos Aires also features a business salon – Salon Dalí – holding up to 90 attendees in one large group or 45 broken down into four separate meeting rooms. Guests can also enjoy Restaurant Miró, which offers a complimentary continental breakfast buffet each day from 6:30-10:30am. Miró also features an outdoor enclosed deck area for smokers or those that want to just sit outside. There is also a small business center with computers, phones and fax. Tryp Buenos Aires also offers guest indoor guest parking. Standard rooms start at less than $200USD per night.
